Want Some Inspiration!

Thanks to Ross for posting this video at his blog. George Hood, the man in the video below, is 54 years old. I wish I would be as fit as he is when I am that old. This man has two world records: Jump roping for over 13 hours and riding a stationary bike for over 222 hours. He apparently did this to raise money for a memorial fund, for an American soldier was killed in Afghanistan. Twenty five thousand dollars were raised by his effort.
To top that, he has a Guinness World record for holding the abdominal plank for one hour, 20 minutes, and 5.01 seconds. The video below shows him going through the pain to achieve the record. As Ross rightly states, “There is almost always more gas in the tank than you realize.” I know that many of us give up before reaching whatever goal we have set. This reminds me of what Thomas Edison had said, “Many of life’s failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.” I wish we all could realize the innate potential we possess.
George Hood has definitely gone the extra mile to realize what stuff he is made off. We just have to stand on the shoulders of the giants to tread that extra mile. And Hood is one among the giants.
