Real or Fake?

I very well know that many of these physical transformation photos and videos are a faux. I, however, didn’t know that this kind of transformation can be achieved within a short span of time—5 hours. I couldn’t believe my eyes in the beginning. But right after I saw this video, I can say that anything is possible, not on a positive note.

The multibillion bodybuilding supplement industry thrives on such fake claims. They force the customers to buy their product; thereby, promising extreme results in a short span. Well, nothing can be farther from the truth. Real results consume a prolonged period of time. I have presented many successful fat loss stories in the blog. In all the cases the transformation took several months.

I know that many fall prey to these unrealistic claims. You are forced to achieve great results in this rat race called life. The rat race happens in a linear fashion from point A to point B. As Frank Forencich says in Exuberant Animal, “In today’s hyper-rational world, linear sequences are taken as evidence of ultimate knowledge and professional expertise.” For many of you this race is applicable in gym parlance, for you want to lose fat or gain muscle. You want to lose, say, 20 kilos of fat. My question to you–do you have the heart to maintain that fat loss state? It demands a lifestyle change and never can it be considered as a short term goal. You are bound to fail miserably if you consider that it can be achieved in a short time.

What is the solution? Think in the long term and enjoy the journey—fat loss or muscle gain. You will cherish and endure the moments. And don’t always think in a linear fashion. Generally, things don’t proceed the way you intended. As the Japanese say, “fall down seven times and get up eight.”

  1. Bro, the second image is phony. Trained eyes can easily make out that it is juxtaposed. The head is of the original guy but the other parts belong to some other dude!
