Ironcult–A Tribe

I proudly call my gym a tribe.  The definition of tribe—a tribe is viewed, historically or developmentally, as a social group existing before the development of, or outside of, states.  A tribe is a distinct people, dependent on their land for their livelihood, who are largely self-sufficient, and not integrates into the national society.”  Well, the best part of the definition I like is the last part—“Not integrates into the national society” and the distinctness component.

On a similar note, I can never identify myself with how other gyms operate.  Other gyms have a typical method of functioning their gyms; whereas, at Ironcult we have our own set of rules.  Factually, it is difficult to duplicate what we operate here, for we are a bunch of several highly motivated individuals who want to be the best.  The remaining lot who cannot recognize this simply cannot embrace our style and back off.  They do not stick, for they recognize themselves with a typical gym performing on electronic gadgets—treadmills, elliptical, etc.  We have a certain strong fundamental points to address and then we build upon it.  A person who comes and joins Ironcult is not only our gym client but also a member of the tribe.  We are a strongly knitted family and you become one among them.

Moreover, if someone says that there is a secret method he is lying.  On the other hand, we at Ironcult possess a play concept—executing different tools and body movements.  Perhaps, a beginner performs a bodybuilding routine, however, the more experience you gather the more you keep exploring new drills.

Moreover, you have several shortcuts like steroids or fat burners. We are a proud tribe never to rely on the dark force of performance enhancing drugs; thereby, what we are after is health, strength and a fit body.  Not supreme physique.  Possessing a magnificent physique is only a byproduct of strength.  Not the other way around.

Similarly, the word CULT from Ironcult carries a negative connotation.  Cult also suggests an extremist group.  I knew that eleven years before while I wanted to name my gym that the word cult would carry a disconfirming name.  However, I went ahead, for I knew that right out of the box my gym would be unusually different.  Well, all these years I have stuck to my strong beliefs, and I am proud to state that we are a force to reckon.  Hopefully, we will continue to be that force.  So calling my gym a tribe isn’t defective, by the way.

  1. Agreed, you have a very respectable name as a fitness centre. In fact, you are not identified as a gym per se, which is a great compliment in itself.
So long as you are passionate about making, and keeping, people who come to you healthy, you will remain a success story. Keep it up!
