Inspiration From Jacques Sayagh

I know that this video has been making rounds in Facebook pages and is spread extensively. Firstly, I have to say that Jacques Sayagh, the man in the video might have used steroids. Somehow, I cannot derive inspiration from steroid users. However, let’s not miss the point. Imagine a homeless man being a drunkard or a drug edict. Instead, this man chooses to become an amateur bodybuilder. I know that this sounds out of the place. Nonetheless, the hard work the man has put with minimal or no equipment is remarkable.

We can continue to judge him and hate him for what he is. Perhaps, we are jealous, or I believe we are ridiculing him, for we are unable to accept the fact. Swami Vivekananda rightly says, “Each work has to pass through these stages—ridicule, opposition, and then acceptance.” When I read the story for the first time I felt weird, but now after some introspection I welcome him.

Watch the video. He will inspire you.
