Does Habit Make You?

This is an excerpt from the book Fat that Heal and Fat that Kill. An elementary point is made by the author Udo Erasmus, which I believe needs your attention. Factually, what the writer claims is true to most overweight people. The biggest battle that overweight people have to deal day in and day out is their habit pattern. Whatsoever the outcome, generally, we don’t want to change our habit.
The excerpt:
“On top of all this, most people eat out of habit at regular, clocked intervals, before actually experiencing hunger. One writer claims that the difference between slim and overweight is this: slim people eat only when hungry, eat whatever they like, and stop when the hunger subsides. Overweight people constantly think about food and dieting, eat whenever they see food, and stop eating when all the food is gone. According to this counselor, to lose weight one needs to learn to think like those who are slim. He recommends counseling for a change in thinking.”
Do you belong to this group? If yes, you should know what to do. I, however, believe that many of you unfortunately belong to the group of people who constantly think about eating and stop eating when all the food is gone. You require an immensely strong mind to overcome your habit. As I have repeatedly said before, you are not born to eat. Lastly, I will quote John Dryden. He rightly says, “First we make our habits, and then our habits make us.” Ironically, true.
Beware! We will become what we repeatedly do. Habits are contagious—specifically the negative ones. Rule them before they rule you.

I am one of that category – I always think about eating and eat in time, whether I am hungry or not. I keep on eating till the food is over! How do I change this habit? Can I get help from you to change the habit? Please help!
Hahaha… yes even i too belong to the overweight thinkers category… but sir dont u think this is subjective to the body constituency? For i have seen many people who eat like rats but still they look lean and fit…
It is of-course subjective. However, this was a generalized statement, which apparently is true.
