Do we believe in disease or in health?

Unfortunately, we believe in disease not in health. We are accustomed and adapted to believe that disease is a certainty. I am, however, not suggesting that we can always stay disease-free. But we can continue to lead a vibrant and healthy life by providing more attention on healthy living rather than getting diseased and then fighting it. Well! It is a cliché, but it stills holds good—prevention is better than cure.
Udo Erasmus the author of Fats that Heal and Fats that Kill says, “Countless sincere men and women have dedicated their lives to study and describe diseases in greater and greater detail. Huge institutions have been built around disease, including medical schools, research centers, and hospitals. Enormous amounts of time, attention, money, and effort have fostered the growth of the monster of disease, while health has been left to grow without nurture.”
Rightly so! More light is provided to disease or disease prevention. Nonetheless, it is equally necessary to shift the emphasis on healthy living.
“Heath is not the absence of disease. Disease is the absence of health.” Udo Erasmus. I couldn’t agree more. What about you?

Wonderful wording! Can health be defined?
Manjunath, I believe health cannot be defined. It cannot be pigeonholed.
