An Interesting Quote

“There is an expiry date on blaming your parents for steering you in the wrong direction; the moment you are old enough to take the wheel, responsibility lies with you.” J.k. Rowling
Do you agree with the statement? I wholeheartedly agree with what Rowling, the famous author of Harry Potter series, has to say. Perhaps, you have in your mind that why are we discussing a general topic. I am not, however, digressing from the topic here.
The word fitness and health encompass different meaning to different people. I discuss about health and fitness from a nourishing perspective to the human body. At the same time, it is imperative to discuss what stimulates us mentally—intellectual nourishment. If you have the intellectual potentiality to question the right and the wrong then you have an upper hand.
Let us now come to the statement about parents being blamed for everything. I believe if you develop an astute intellect you stop accusing others. Intellectual nourishment—hunger for truth, philosophies, and explanation on how and why will all help us to develop a questioning and witnessing mind. An intellectual mind is quintessential for shouldering all the responsibility. This reminds of what C.G.Jung, the world famous psychiatrist, says. He quotes, “I am not what happened to me: I am what I chose to become.” We cannot always blame it on circumstances. We also have the responsibility to walk the path.

I Absolutely agree with it. I met a tour guide recently and while talking to her about her profession she said and I quote ” You should choose what you become”. It was a simple statement made by her but it hit me hard. If we consider a place like Bangalore with more than a crore population with most of them in IT/BPO sector how many of them can say I chose this feild and I am happy. I guess very few lucky people can really follow their dream and make their passon their profession.
Well, nothing more I can say. You have hit the nail on the head.
I have to agree because Vishwanthar always makes sense! And I mean it. Till date, I have not read a single piece which is not useful. They are gems worth preserving.
The easiest of all hunting expeditions is the search for a scapegoat, I believe. Parents bring us up with the best of intentions. We leave our brains behind and then blame them. It’s just not on.
Thanks for the appreciation Madam. It really means a lot for me to keep me going.
