“The World Is The Great Gymnasium Where We Come To Make Ourselves Strong.”

I bring these words from a very great teacher who stills inspires many of us. He was a splendid orator and a very dynamic leader who achieved a lot in the short span of his life. He was a man of great spiritual qualities and yet you can find in these words which I am going to present that he was a man who had great practical values too. For many of his disciples had come to know that he had a very wide source of knowledge, for he used to quote words from various books and sources which were about science, politics, literature, music, and last but not the least spirituality.
I am speaking of none other than the great spiritual leader Swami Vivekananda. He had rightly said, “You must learn to make the physique very strong and teach the same to others… Body and mind must run parallel… When the necessity of strengthening the physique is brought home to people, they will exert them selves of their own accord.” This statement of his speaks volumes of wisdom. He was in fact referring to people at large, for he felt it extremely necessary for them first to have a strong body which will in turn help them to have a strong mind. If you read his life story you can know that he was working out in a gymnasium in his younger days.
Yes, the titled quote is also by the great man. In his lectures Swami Vivekananda had many times stated about the importance of possessing a strong body.
