Inspiration From Usain Bolt

We all presumably imagine that Usian Bolt, the fastest man on the planet, is a gifted and supremely talented athlete. Well, not so after watching this video.
The amount of hard work he endures in his daily practice is staggering. This reminds me of what Thomas Edison says. He says, “Genius is 1 % inspiration and 90% perspiration.” How true! Moreover, I believe you cannot take your talent for granted. Perhaps, it can carry you forward for a short distance. However, if you want perform well over the long haul the element of hard work has to kick in.
On a similar note, assume that you are a fat slob from your childhood. In other words, you are born with a very sluggish metabolic rate, and so gaining weight/fat is not difficult. It says that you are not gifted or talented to journey forth to fat loss comfortably. Nonetheless, it doesn’t mean that you cannot achieve what you desired. On the flipside, it says that you have several road blocks to clear to move ahead. Moreover, I know it’s a cliché but I still love to say that where there is a will there is a way. Period.
Watch the video and listen to him.
PS: The quote by Edison is pasted on my gym wall. HA! It did make sense, but now after knowing the Bolt story it makes double sense.
