Some Food for Thought

I believe possessing a healthy mind and a body is of great significance. Likewise, both go hand in hand. Moreover, to possess a productive mind it’s paramount to practice good things. Otherwise things might head in any direction. I quote a parable from the book Titled Beautiful Practice written by Frank Forencich. It is to show that we have to focus our energy in the right direction.

“A boy was talking with his grandfather.”
“What do you think about the world situation?” he asked.
“I feel like wolves are fighting in my heart. One is full of anger and hatred; the other is full of love, forgiveness, and peace.”
“Which one will win?” Asked the boy.
To which the grandfather replied, “The one I feed.”

Isn’t this a powerful statement? This reminds me of a quote. ““Incredible change happens in your life when you decide to take control of what you do have power over instead of craving control over what you don’t.” Steve Maraboli. Like Steve says we only have power over certain things in life. We, however, are uneasy over things that we can’t control. It’s imperative we harness our attention on the positive attributes of life that are under our control and let go the others.
