Food and Food Products–continued

I have said it several times in the blog, and I will say it again. Majority of the food products come with an extended shelf life. For example–chocolates, bakery products, biscuits, chips, etc. To extend the shelf life of the food product hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated vegetable oil is used. Unfortunately, they contain Trans fatty acids, an unnatural fat that is well known for its adverse health effects—heart disease, diabetes, and Alzheimer’s. Dr. Walter Willet, internationally recognized professor of medicine, says “Trans fat is the biggest food-processing disasters in history.”
Frank Forencich also rightly says, “Choose food over food products. Eat all the food you want, but avoid food products whenever possible.” I know that the above statement doesn’t make sense in the present state. You say “eating processed food tastes so good.” However, know that daily poisoning is worse than occasional poisoning.
