Being Functionally Fit.

There are quite a few individuals at Ironcult who are nearing the 40 mark. It is heartening to watch them relive their lives. For they are able to lift weights and sandbags, jump in various directions and ways, and jog and sprint for several rounds. So, from a functional perspective addressing and performing all the above mentioned concerns would do a great deal of good to an individual in building his fitness. The American Council Of Exercise aptly states, “Functional strength training involves performing work against resistance in such a manner that the improvements in strength directly enhance the performance of movements so that an individual’s activities of daily living are easier to perform.”
To add to this, since running is an integral part of functional training, I bring in a video which showcases my gym clients aggresively engaged in sprinting drills.
Enjoy the video.
